Well the wedding was fantastic and the day couldn't have gone better. It was a little windy but the rain held off and we were able to have our reception outside which was really nice. The food was fantastic too. It was nice to see all the family there and catch up. I only wish the day had lasted a little longer as it went so quickly.

I'd like to before I talk bout the photos to say a huge thankyou To Vicky my Sister in Law - with out her I don't think the wedding would have happend, she helped out so much taking us to appointments, getting bits in and coming up with ideas that I loved and thankyou for being my Bridesmaid. I'd like to say thankyou to my best friend Heather too for taking time from your holiday in cornwall to come and be my Maid of Honour and be a part of our special day. Next to my parents in law and to my parents thankyou so much for all your support and love over the years and financing such a perfect day love you all soo much xxxx

Next I'd like to thank Adam at The Coppleridge Inn for letting us hold our wedding there. Joanna Payne for making my wedding cake it was gorgous and tasted wonderful. Heather for doing the flowers they were wonderful I loved them so much. Liz at The Coppleridge Salon you did wonders with my hair from cutting, highlighting to putting it up. And last of all thankyou to the staff at Sarah@Mimosa you did such a fantastic job with our make up and nails.

Now on to the photos I've only picked out a few otherwise I think my blog would crash lol.

Next our stunning Wedding Cake it was absolutly gorgous and tasted lush. The two bottom layers were Chocolate and the top was Carrot Cake :)

And last of all a picture of the part of the Coppleridge grounds. It was beautiful there and I can fully understand why my hubby wanted to get married there :)

Well I think this is the last post for this blog anless I manage to get some of the professional photos put on to disc in which case I will upload them. But it has been fun keeping this blog and looking back over and seeing how much was changed in the planning over the months from when I started to the big day. And looking back now I wonder what all the stress was about as everyone said the day would be perfect and it really was.

So to any future brides out there that have stumbled across my blog the only advice I can give is don't panic, have fun planning and then when your big day comes enjoy as it really does go by really quickly. Make sure you get lots of photos and maybe start up a blog yourself so you can look back on how your plans changed and led to you perfect day. xxx

I can not believe it's only 2 weeks away til our big day and I can't believe how many changes have been made a long the way. But I can now say Im getting excited to see everything in motion, but most of all Im looking forward to marrying the man of my dreams, he has stuck by me for 7 yrs, we have an amazing family.

These past few weeks have been buisy, filled with wedding preparation. I had my Hen Night, had a pampering session at a health and beauty spa called Oasis. It was fab, had a facial, Reiki Head Massage, Back and foot Massage. Then in the evening went to our local Indian Restaurant Chutneys. Which really do lush food. Then Dave had his Stag Doo, where they went on the raz round town.

I had my nails gelled and shaped and my eyebrows shaped (first time may I add lol.) And also had my haircut and highlights put in. :)

Flowers have all been sorted, think all outfits are now complete, just need to get myself some tights or popsocks, havent decided as of yet. And need to get my two younger boys some shoes to go with their outfit.

I bought each of my younger boys a Corduroy Drivers Cap from Baby Gap, Checked Train Driver shirts and Two Tone Cord Trousers from Mothercare, and lets Just say they both look gorgous in their outfits.

We Have had all the replys back for the Wedding and Reception, Just waiting on a few people to get back to us regarding the evening.

And I still got Thankyou gifts to sort.

Been for final dress Fitting last week and it fitted perfectly, I was so worried that I may have put on weight lol all the worry for nothing.

Invites all done with inserts, BUT I MADE A MISTAKE :( I put in the wrong start time. But not to worry my mum came to the rescue and they have all been sorted. My mum is sending the ones shes addressed this week off and I'm hopefully seeing her tomorrow so I can correct the ones I have to send and get them delivered out too.

As for Evening Invites still to be made, but we havent as many to make so no worries there just need to talk to Dave.

Had the Meeting with Jo and the Cake is all sorted, going to ring her this week to see if there's anything else I need to do and whether she needs a deposit.

Had a Meeting with Jo's friend Heather regarding the Flowers and I have to say I loved how enfuseiastic she was and the ideas she had using the type of flowers I was interested with. I'm also going to ring her to double check that meeting up in her shop on the 4th July is ok as she has said to come to the shop and have a play will be more fun and get a better idea of what we would like.

Hen Do is being arranged by my sister in law and were thinking of going and having a pampering session at Oasis and then a meal at an Indian Restaurant in the evening. And the theme to be Cowgirls. Blue hats hopefully :)

Stagdo - I have no idea what is happening, as of yet I don't think anything has been planned let alone sorted. Think paint balling was on the agenda though.

Shoes - still on the search for, I'm needing white in a 2 inch heel. You'd think they would be easy to find lol

Order of Service - need to make these, but need to talk to Adam ( owner of the Coppleridge) first.

Seating Plans - Once I know for Definant who is coming then I can get on with making them. I know how I want them to look so they should be pretty straight forward. Have the font sorted too.

And I need to get some more butterly glass toppers and Chocolates.

Think on the whole were nearly there.

All 35 Wedding and Reception invites complete. Just the inserts to do now and a lady Susie.A on Ukscrappers kindly sent me some sample paper to see if they'd work with my invites and they were perfect. The paper is Irediscent Sparkly White 100 gsm A4 20 sheets per a pack. I have sent my mum on a mission to pick some up for me.

The bridesmaid outfits have been found in Debenhams and both my Best Friend and Sister in Law have tried them on and love them and sorting out ordering them. The Dress is Midnight taffeta ball gown

Found a lady who has quoted 150 pounds for the same cake I wanted and so in the process of organising a meet up and she also knows of someone who does flowers and is going to speak to them see if they can help out. So my fingers are crossed, Because I have to say all though I have ideas I'm unsure how they will turn out, whether my ideas will look right etc, I need some reassureance and ideas on how to make the place look the best it can be.

Managed to make two Invites so far. The embossed flowers arrived to day :) and I cut and embossed all the butterflys yesterday. But im not all that organised as I now need more Royal Blue card which my friend has picked up today so just waiting for her to come up with it. And I got to get 350 adhesive stones all the same size. they are apparently 2mm. And get the inserts done.

It's amazing how much changing of ideas has taken place since I first started planning.

Invites

As time was running out I decided to put a post on Ukscrappers forum the other day, as I was having no luck coming up with any ideas as I had been so set on Pocket invites. And there were some good ideas and finally decided after seeing this card by a scrapper called Scoobiesue. I love it and going to change the red to blue and possibly have silver though personally I don't think Its needed as I can use silver rhinestones.

I bought the Cuttlebug Combo butterfly die and tested it out usinging my BigShot and they turned out stunning. Another lady on the forum called Tanya has kindly offered to cut emboss the flower part of the card as she has the die and hopefully I should have them some time in the week.

I had bought some bits to have a go at making my invites before I saw the above card but think after coming up with a design they are better suited for thankyou invites. Though haveing the butterfly die has given me other ideas lol. So we shall see.

These were the stamps I bought

and I bought some wedding invitation peel offs and evening invitation peel offs silver adhesive stones indigo ink it up Denim heat embossing powderand a pack of Anita's A6 50 quality white cards and envelopes

Flowers - got an appointment with Shirley Snells Florist in Salisbury tomorrow to have a talk about Flowers. I haven't as of yet heard from the other lady.

Cake -

Been trying to get some quotes regarding the Cake now I have a design. Lisa Knotley was charging 375 pounds and a 20 pound delivery fee. Which is a bit to much for our budget which is a shame as her cakes are devine. I had a quote from www.cakelady.co.uk which my middle son's nursery teacher recommended us and she quoted 180 pounds but we would have to supply the square mirror pillar and have to pay a 50 pound deposit. My folks would be able to pick it up if we do decide to go with her, along with the flowers if we go for a Salisbury Florest.

Here are the cake details -

Square Butterfly Cake

9" & 7" Rich Chocolate cake with a layer of chocolate fudge filling

5" Carrot Cake with a layer of cinnamon butter cream Each Cake covered with a layer of white fondant icing.

Cake boards covered with a layer of white fondant, the board edged with ribbon.

Bottom two tiers stacked on top of one another, the top tier seperated using a square mirrored pillar

Cakes finnished with handcrafted sugar butterflys in different shapes & sizes colours :1/5th of butterflys to be "solid" Royal Blue, 1/5th silver, 1/5th white and edge piped Royal Blue, 1/5th blue piped with silver, 1/5th white and dusted with silver shimmer

Top Tier decorated with butterflys on silver wires. A small arrangement of butterflys on wires to be placed on the tope ledge of bottom tier.

Bridesmaid Outfits - Were going to have a look in Southampton on Sunday 5th April. I have asked my Sister in Law Vicky to be Bridesmaid too :)

Make up - Trial is booked for the 4th July 2009

Hair - Vicky is going to make an appointment with the salon at the Coppleridge as there's only us two.

Where to start..........The dress I bought for my neice is to big so were going to keep as its a pretty dress anyway and she will grow in to it and also in hope she will have a growth spurt before the wedding.

My Maid of Honour is on holiday at the time of our wedding but hoping to come down for the day and still be my maid of honour so im really hopeing she makes it.

CAKE -
We went to see Lisa Knotley on Saturday with my SIL Vicky and we discussed the cake and put a design together. I'm really excited to see the end result. Her cakes are divine and I was even given a chocolate cake to take home. I'm haveing a 3 tier cake, two bottom tiers chocolate and the top tier carrot cake. square so its easier for cutting and a butterfly topper on top and butterflys on wires on the 2nd tier in one of the corners and then butterflys dotted round the cake. Need to do a Colour Swatch for Lisa so she knows the colours.

INVITES -
I don't think I will find pocket fold invites any cheaper than I originally found but the costs of the wedding are starting to mount up so I'm now thinking maybe just getting some plain white square cards and using a stamp and some blue and silver inks to create my invites and for the day invites add inserts with the rest of the details I wanted to add and a ribbon to hold the inserts in.

I found a stamp I adore but not haveing any luck finding it to buy.

I came out with this design below using a paint programme forgetting with a stamp I wouldn't be able to mirror an image which is a shame as both me and Dave love the design I came up with.

I emailed BoBunny to see if they could help and this is what they came up with

Going to give my self till the end of this weekend to make up my mind what I'm going to do.

FLOWERS -

Had a think about flowers and keep swaying more towards artificial, I like the idea having them to keep after the wedding. I had come across a lady online who I love her work but with the distance and not being able to talk face to face I feel rather nervous.

Vicky's sister in law gave us a name of a florest who I have spoken to today and when she has got mothers day and a wedding shes doing out of the way she will call to arrange a time and day to talk through the ideas I like and see what we can come up with. She does both artificial and fresh so I think she will do well on advising me a way forward. Feeling rather relieved now.

Here's a table decoration for the registrar table, I would like silver butterflys and blue bling.

All the below we would want Royal blue satin ribbon and silver organza ribbon and silver bling.
There's two Bouquets we like - Top one we prefer

I like the shape of this one too.

Dave love the way the bow and ribbon is on this bouquet and wanted it to be on either of the above bouquets we like.

She does Wands and I thought something like this for my Maid of Honour with Royal Blue satin ribbon and silver organza ribbon. And the same for the Butterfly wand which I think my Neice who is bridesmaid will love.

RINGS -

Well we went in to town the same day we sorted the cake and came acros some rings we liked better than the ones we were thinking of getting before, So they are all paid for and ready to collect. Been a while. Well I just been to try on my chosen wedding dress and get the approval from my folks and its now ordered and the deposit is paid. Tried on the Jewellery set my Mother in law bought me for xmas and that worked really well and chose the sparkley beaded Tiara out of the two my SIL Vicky bought me. Going to go with Vicky and a few of her friends on Good Friday shopping for undergarments and then theres shoes to look out for to. And I need to sort out who or where to get my hair done up by. I have chosen the hair do up style I want So its all come together nicely.

Still lots to do but my outfit side of the wedding being sorted is a load off my mind.

wow only about 7 months left till the big day. Think my Jewellery situation is sorted. My MIL bought me a necklace and ear ring set. sorry the photo isn't great.

The only prob is I think I will have to get my Right Ear pierced again as I seem to have real difficulties to get ear rings in it for some strange reason. My Left ear is fine though.

Hopefully will be in our new house by the end of January, beginning of February and then it will be a case of knuckling down with the wedding. I got to go over everything and see what else needs to be done.

Also I have found the hairstyle I want too which is the second picture. So I'm going to try and chat to all the hairsalons and see what they will charge to do it and how long I need my hair to grow. It's about Shoulder length now. And I hope to get my highlights done again for the wedding to. Just need to look into the hair pins I would like and think something similar would be nice.

Also after trying and deciding on the dress I liked I decided the Tiara I bought doesn't really work to well. Its to blue. But my Sister In law Vicky has now given me a tough choice lol, as well as buying the Garter I fell in love with she picked up two Tiaras she fell in love with and they are stunning, absolutly gorgous. I'm going to take them with me on the next try on and see which looks best. I will upload some photos once my camera is charged.

The Last Three photos are of Bridal Butterfly Clear Crystal Necklace Earrings S1077 from Ebay by a seller called my-giftshk Costing AU $12.99 and Postage AU $6.99 which will be less than this in UK pounds.

I like the 2nd set of Jewellery as it brings some blue back in to my personal look. And the blue is not to over powering. But I have seen a photo of a fellow member of a craft forum I have recently joined and shes wearing a similar dress to the one I want to get. And wearing this set in gold colour though but she got her daughter the silver set and said it was just as nice which is the colour I would want. It looks perfect size.

I been browsing the net for some ideas for my wedding ring and came across this site http://www.stylishbydesign.com/rings-40/ with rings designed by Kit Heath. I love all the ones below but they are made of Sterling Silver and I would prefer White Gold.

I think the last one would work best with my engagement ring as far as design goes. But think my fave would have to be fourth in from the top row. Or even second or last of top row. I'm thinking of showing these to some various Jewellers where you can design your own and see what they suggest and get some quotes. I'm looking at 3mm thickness and possibly one stone but small or Tiney.

Had an email back from Allum and Sideaway and they can do some of the above rings and the prices range from £200 t0 £370 the price can differ slightly depending on My ring size and the quality of the stones chosen. The prices that I was given are based on 9ct white gold as requested, with blue topaz and cubic zirconia (white) stones. Each ring will be hand made to My specification and the process can get more detailed once I've chosen the one I'd like to be made for Me.

I have yet to get back to them and discuss which one I would like as I need to discuss with Dave what were doing ring wise, but at least I know they can do it if we would like.

Started to look about and try and get some Ideas for Wedding Rings. Here are some that I found that Dave has said he liked the most.

He likes the Top Left ring in the Picture above

He likes the Left and second in on the left of the rings above.

And he said the Bottom ring and ring on the right that's standing on its side aren't bad.

He would like it to be silver in colour and not bothered in the type of metal as long as it's with in our budget which at the moment isn't really set for deffinant but we dont really want to be spending hundreds on them.

I'm struggling on my Wedding ring as I really don't like the Idea of a plain band that fits the shape of my engagement ring which is a 9ct cross over style with Topaz and silver stones. I like the Idea of it being simple, fit the shape of my engagement ring and be low in cost but unique and possibly with one stone. Have put a post on the Wedding Announcers Forum and hopeing some of the ladys may have some ideas or pics to share.

Ok I did have my heart set on Bonny Style 449 Wedding Dress, But there's only one shop here that can still order it in due to it be EX stock ( can be seen here http://www.bonnybridaluk.co.uk/449.htm)

So I decided before ordering it in I'd go with SIL to try some Wedding dresses on in similar styles at her friends Shop, there wasn't an awful lot in a similar style and they only had one dress that had colour which if I wanted blue there was only a light blue. I did like the dress but rolled it out of my head as it was red and my colours are blue, silver and white so alot of my planning would have to change so the dress would look right.

Any way the first Dress I tried on was gorgous and even after trying lots more on I came back to it. Its Ella 5159. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face when I had it on and I felt so happy and confident, I think it looked perfect and my Fiance will be stunned in a good way.

The pictures dont do this dress justice but the detail is gorgous and silver so it fits with my theme still. It's a Strapless satin gown with asymmetrically draped midriff features silver embroidery and beading. Fabric colours available are Off-White and White Detail colour available is Silver Also available in plus sizes. It makes look so much slimmer and I seem to have dropped a couple of sizes which is fantastic too.

This dress costs £649 which is a little more that the Bonney Style one I liked. I'm still querying over whether to try and get the shop in Bath to order the Bonney one in for me to try as I don't want to feel I'm expected to buy it if. Though I do feel now the Ella wedding Dress is the one for me. Going in for another try on session in December because they have some more stock coming in and also for the Mumz to come in too and see what they think.

This week I have been looking more into makeing my own Pocket Invites, no matter how hard I look at different types of cards I always come back to these.

Wannabenurse from DIY Wedding forum was so kind in sending me a template for making my own and I have made a mock one up and in size is perfect and the covers can be made with one sheet of A4 card stock. and the invite and inserts I can print 2 to a sheet of A4 paper or card too. I showed Dave and though He likes it he said he would prefer having an envelope flap like the ones you can buy.

So putting my already mock one to the side I started to draw out a slightly smaller template but with the envelope edge as well so as it would still fit on A4 Card stock. Not to bad but think it may now be a bit too small to fit the invite in and inserts. I want to get some cardstock and paper in the wedding colours so I can really see whats best and see if it works for real and looks neat.

I think the small ones look cute but i dont think it can hold the info to go inside neatly but wont know till I try.

The thing I really am trying to work out at the moment is is it going to be cheaper me making my own in the long run or am I better off buying ready made so it's a case of printing and putting together?

I have a huge thankyou to say to my SIL Vicky, she went to Confetti the shop the other day, and picked up the above bits for me to have a look at. She saw an Idea which I do like and that is to put the silver coated chocolates in to the wine glasses with a lazercut butterfly place card on the glass with the name of the guest. I think this is a good idea as it would save on buying little bags or boxes to hold them in. And also now thinking of getting some of the chocolates that are wrapped in blue foil or if we can find some blue metallic coated chocolates then even better to go with the silver. Going to have a play and see what will look best. But Im thinking the Favours are going to be much better this away and give a little class to the tables.

Had a phone call from my mum and although they have given us some money already which has ended up being put in to the house they want to pay for my wedding dress, the registrar and the deposit that they have already paid for.

Below are the shoes my friend found on ebay by a seller called footwear-studio they are

My friend also found some really nice ear rings also on ebay costing 8.99 and p&p is 6.99, I'm hoping the seller yywong2004 shop Kashuen will restock them as they are nice and would go with the tiara, unfortunantly I can't upload a pic as it wont let me save the picture to my computer. But they are Blue crystal Heart ear rings and they are gorgous.

The only thing is that my MIL pointed out was it may be too much blue jewellery. But going to try the dress on first before makeing finally decisions on Jewellery.

Well I have some fab news thanks ever so much to my MIL she has offered to pay for the wedding so we will still be having it at the Coppleridge Inn on the 15th August as planned. My MIL and SIL Vicky are going to help me get everything ready for the Big Day.

Ok I have some news after a lot of ups and downs of not knowing where we stood we have got the house we wanted and going through the paper work procedure now. Which is fantastic as we have been desperate to own a place of our own and whilst we have needed a loan from a scheme we have finally done it.

The bad news its doubtful we are going to be able to have the wedding we have been planning much to my disappointment, I have been racking my brains and getting rather stressed and upset trying to come up with some idea on how we could afford it. But unfortunantly the wedding fund from my folks has had to be used on fees in order to by the house. And although my MIL has kindly offered to pay towards the wedding I'm uncertain we would have enough.

I'm thinking pushing the date later is going to have to be an option.

The only prob is the venue we were to have our wedding and reception and evening do as it is all in one place asked for a non refundable 250 pounds deposit which we paid. Were under the assumption we wont get this back.

When I spoke to them awhile back and said we were trying to do things on a budget they said why not come in and talk over ideas and they were sure they could sort something out on our budget, we have yet done this and wondering whether it still is worth it and if nothing can be done on what MIL can put towards it then at least we can say we tried.

I mean its doubtful anyone would take the 15th August 09 if we were to cancil now and would rather have the wedding kept as we would. it cant hurt can it to explain our situation.

Also was going to talk to MIL what we have so far and see if she had any ideas on how we could cut costs. Plus we have til August to do a bit of saving as we will hopefully have moved in to our new home by the end of next month.

I would have loved to do my Pocket invites that i had seen and worked out which we worked out would cost 54.60 pounds which i know if i went with another design i could find alot cheaper. though i would like Pocket invites as i feel they would fit well with the rest of the wedding but to cut costs its an option.

Also my mum said there were people we wouldn't ask from our side of the family if we were haveing a registery office wedding instead so wondering whether my mum would be ok with not inviting to the wedding I have planned which would lower costs due to food costs which is another option.

In some way Im hoping for a miracle as I really don't want to cancel. And delaying each day of doing so.

Decided to ring our local Marks and Spencers store today to get a clearer idea of costs on buying a wedding cake from them and they recommend possibly having a two tier cake. The bottom a Large fruit cake which serves 54 portions and costs £38 and then a Medium sponge which serves 24 portions and costs £12. Comes plain Iced so I can add ribbon and our chosen cake topper. The total for the cake only comes to £50.00 and then with the Topper £77.95 But will need to sort out the cost of silver ribbon.

They have a Brochure in store which we can have a look and get more ideas if we want too. Also have heard a lot of good reviews about their cakes being by far the best taste and value for money.

Which brings the Grand Total to £2882.49 excluding ribbon which wont cost that much and the evening buffet.

Grand Total Including evening buffet but excluding cake ribbon comes too £3337.49

Mind you were basing evening do on 65 people who are already invited to the wedding and Reception. There are a few others we could invite to the evening but not sure whether its really needed or not. Something me and Dave need to talk over. Also if we leave having an evening do then we wouldn't need a buffet, DJ or evening invites which would cut costs. But then it would be nice to have one.

Ok I've noticed my blog is getting very scattered lol so decided I'm going to write out what has been worked out so far and costs at guess so far.

Guest List To wedding and Reception - Total 65 people.
Invites - I've worked out the invites if I go with Pocket Invites to cost £1.82 each. I need to make 30.
Notice each £30 so for both me and Dave its £60.00
Registration Fee for marriage ceromony £305.00
Marriage Certificate Each £3.50
The Coppleridge Inn deposit and Civil Wedding Hire Charge £350.00

The Coppleridge Inn deposit £250 is non-refundable.

Dress - Bonny Style 449 can be bought from The Clothes Horse, 90 Highstreet, Bathford, Bath Tel. 01225852626 Selling Price £559.00. Dress has to be ordered in for try on.
Flowers - Di Goodinge 01747 858250. Letter dated 14th September has all the Quoted prices on for what I wanted and comes to a total of £116.00 excluding table centre pieces I came up with which are £8.50 each and button holes which are £3.50 each. I estimate we will need 6 button holes which totals up to £137.00. But need to decide on amount of table centre pieces are needed.
Cake - Marks and Sparks do a 3 tier which serves 144 and each layor a different flavour which costs £199. this may be to much cake really but they do single layors so we could have 2 tier cake and one bit fake which may bring cost down.
Topper - decided on the butterfly topper from ebay £25.00 P&P £2.95

Menu - Need to talk with The Coppleridge Inn to finalize costs and menu. But from their website their prices range from £18.50 - £29.50 per head. I would have thought for our menu and we would be looking at £19.50 per head which comes too £1267.50
Evening Buffet - If we have one we would go for the £7.00 per head which includes: Sandwiches with variety of fillings, Mixed Indian Savories with Sweet Chilli Dip, Selection of Puff Pastry Rolls, Pizza and Quiche. Which totals to £455.00

Looking at the above the Grand Total comes too £3458.54

But if we forget the evening Buffet and Evening all together - £3003.54

Drinks - would need to be discussed but we figure bottles of wine for the main meal would be provided by us and guests would buy their own drinks for the rest of the reception.

Decided to have a look at wedding cakes again, ok I know the stye I want and the topper I want but I need someone who makes them. Need some quotes and recommendations. We were going to have a friend of my folks do it but were unable to get hold of her or something. Anyways My mum was saying that a few people have recommended Marks and Spencers. I had a look at their website and to be honest they aren't to badly priced. The cake in the picture is one they do but it comes with out the flowers which is fine with me as I want the butterfly topper we like.

Ok there has been some development and I'm not sure if were going to have the wedding I wanted or not or whether where just going to have it at a later date.

Here's the thing we have recently been approved a loan with a houseing scheme and approved a mortgage and also found a house we like and the seller has accepted our offer as long as his offer for a house he wants is accepted. So at the moment we are waiting in limbo to see what is going to happen. As you can imagin it's going to cost a lot what in solicitor fees etc. This is the main reason I haven't been updating here as often. I have been buisy sorting all this out.

My folks are giving us money to go towards either the house or wedding and I was hoping the wedding would only cost half of what my folks are giving us so the rest could go towards a house. but unfortunantly the wedding is beginning to cost more than I thought it would and Then there's the house buisness, we are going to need the total of what we have been given for the house buying fees. despite haveing a little saveings I don't think we will be able to do both.

Anyway until our mind is made up on what we are going to do and we have confirmation the house is ours I'm going to continue with my wedding planning. And also I will probably continue even if we get the house even if wedding plans change.

Things have started to come to a stand still at the moment as I'm waiting for a day to be sorted so we can have a talk with The Coppleridge Inn and awaiting a Day to be organised to go and see the dress I like and have a try on. Plus been rather buisy with day to day living too as were now in the process of house hunting too.

Decided today to look into shoes so I can get some idea of what is out there and I may like to wear, as I would have to say I practically live in Trainers lol. I do have a pair of high heal boots but they wouldn't be suitable.

I'm not used to thin heals and showing off my toes, let alone my feet. In fact I hate my feet and wouldn't say they are very flattering to show off lol. So would prefer to cover my whole foot. But any way I'm going to have a look and see what catches my eye and get some ideas on shapes and styles and what might go with my Dress if i get the one I like.

I went to H.Samuel Jewellers to have a look and see if they have any Wedding rings to go with my Engagement ring, but it turns out it is best to talk to thier in house designer and talk over Ideas with him. We have an appointement but not sure as of yet if we will be able to make it, as it's quite a drive from here. But all so whilst there I came across these gorgous flutes - Special Memories Crystal Champagne Flute 6082610. They are gorgous they cost 39.99 which is a little more than what we would want to pay. So they are on my wish list.

Had a meeting with The in house flouriest of The Coppleridge Inn - Dianne, I showed her the artifical Calla Lilli flowers I had originally chosen and she is able to do similar with fresh Calla Lillis. She is going to send us a no obligation quotation in the post for us too look at once she has worked out how much it will all cost. Also she has the vases too which she has said I can use for the centre pieces. And even discussed decoration for the fire place and top table too which I kinda forgot myself.

Been browsing the internet to see if I can find some ideas and this is kind a close to the style I was thinking about. I like the style of the last two the best. As these will be for the evening guests only I havent got to add as much so this style would work.

If I did it it this way I would use my Monogram to close the invite.

I like the Style below, I'd use silver Organza ribbon and add my Monogram. I like this style because the cut point reveals the names which I think is a nice touch.

for the style below, again I'd use my Monogram and have like an envelope point instead of the hearts

The main Card would be Sapphire then the invite printed on white and matted on silver. Same style to the Pocket Invites that I want to do for Wedding and Reception guests.

I also would like to do them DIY and feel confident that I could draw up a template for these invites.

Or I could just do ordinary card style, heres a couple ideas I had been talking to madhattermillie over on Ukscrappers here is her idea as I put up a post asking for suggestions -

And here are some of the ideas I came up from her suggestion -

Using a roller on white card but rolling once to create a blue design let it dry then roll again but so I get the silver and emboss silver over lapping but so the blue still shows. Adding blue butterflys 3d effect and adding little silver rhinestones and the word your invited at the bottom.

Blue as main card colour, a flourish swirl type roller going across vertical or horizontle depending on card shape so then use silver embossing powder so the design shows and then with a small butterfly punch cut some white card and use the little butterflys glue them to the vine giveing a kinda 3d effect and then the your invited in silver to so it shows up.

Madhattermillie has offered to make up some samples so I can have a look before buying the bits. Also Paula on Wedding Announcers Forum is putting together an idea for me too. Can't wait to see the results as I have a theory as you can see of what I want but it may be to expensive to do it my way.

Here are some pictures so you can get an idea of style. For Mine I want the main Pocket Fold to be Sapphire Blue and then three inserts (1) Map and Directions (2) Taxi numbers and where to stay (3) R.S.V.P.

I want the main invite to be printed on to white card/paper and mounted on to silver card/paper. then the inserts white and maybe have the info boxed so theres and outline round the information if that makes sence. To close the invite i want to use velcro and have my monogramme attached. And if we use ribbon it will be silver.

These invites will be made up for the Guests we want to come to the wedding and reception and I'm going to do different styled invites for guests invited to just the evening bit which I will share my ideas when I have looked into it abit more.

The two bears arrived today from the EBay seller Bloomingperfect and they are gorgous, they came with two coats too, they are so cute. I think Connor and Oscar will love them. Todd saw me open the box and we felt it important to say why we had only two bears and to let him know that we wanted him to carry the ring pillow with the rings. He seemed really happy and excited too. I think with our Best man kip to help him he will be fine.

Remember I found a seller on EBay - Bloomingperfect and she had some wonderful silk flowers, well I recieved a sample button hole and I personally liked it, but my mum and fiance want us to continue looking and gathering prices. They like the idea of using fresh flowers more. Me personally think Silk can look just as good and I don't see the point of spending huge amounts on flowers that are real as they don't last that long. Silk flowers can be kept.

Any way I have emailed her to let her know and to ask if it were ok to buy two of the bears but with blue and silver ribbon round the neck. These will be for my two youngest boys. I'm just waiting on a email back.

I'm so happy I finally found the Pretty Princess Pendant that I wanted, $10.99 for the necklace itself and $4.00 for the shipping to the UK. So $14.99 which is just under ten pounds which is fantastic. And guess where I found it - on EBay. I've ordered it and now am awaiting it's arrival, I'm so excited, I think my bridesmaid is going to love it.

I Emailed Wentworth Pewter a company I found who do Tankards and asked them bout costs for if I bought a Standard 1 pint capacity pewter tankard with classic double lines pattern Height: 115mm costing 17 pounds and had our Monogramme engraved into it and a thankyou for being our best man speech engraved to would cost and this is what he emailed back -

Been doing a search on the Internet to see if I can find anywhere in the UK that sells the Pretty Princess pendant but not having much luck. I posted the pic on Wedding Announcers Forum and one of the members Alison is being so kind she is looking into the shipping costs for me to have it sent to hers then sent to me as the postage directly from the shop is really expensive.

Anyway whilst searching the Net I came across Tankards which can come in either Glass or Pewter and can be engraved on with a special message. I thought this would be great for kip who's our Best Man, he loves Cider and when I saw them he sprang to mind. Wondering if we could get our monogram engraved on with a message saying Thankyou For Being Best Man.

Heres the instuctions etc I copied and pasted. Thought it may come in handy as I want to be a DIY Bride as much as possible and makeing my own favours sounds more thankful in a way.

Chocolate Hearts

Materials:

chocolate for meltingcandy moldscookie sheetramekinsovenglassine sleeve (available from photo-supply or craft stores)small rubber stampembossing stamp padembossing powderembossing or heat gunfile folderdecorative taghole punchribbon (6" per favor)spoon

1. Microwave chocolate on low for one minute. Continue melting in 30-second intervals, stirring each time. When the chocolate is smooth and fully melted, it's ready to be poured into the molds.

2. With a spoon, fill each section of the mold with melted chocolate. Gently tap the mold to remove any air bubbles (figure A).
3. Let chocolate cool before popping out of the molds (figure B). Use the edge of a knife to remove any extra bits of chocolate.

4. Emboss an image on the glassine sleeves, if desired. Working over a file folder, stamp the rubber stamp with embossing ink; sprinkle embossing powder on the wet ink. Tap off excess powder and funnel excess powder back into the powder jar. Heat with an embossing or heat gun until the embossing powder has melted.
5. Place several chocolates in a glassine sleeve; fold over the top edge of the sleeve.

6. Punch a hole in the top center of the tag. Punch a matching hole in the top center of the decorative tag (figure C).
7. Layer the tag over the glassine sleeve. Fold a ribbon in half, thread the looped end through both holes and loop the tails back through the folded loop (figure D). Trim ribbon ends on an angle.

If any one decides to atempt making these or has made these before I'd love to hear how they turned out or any similar confectionerys that could be used as favours.

been looking for the children's favours and thinking along the lines of soft sweets - like Jelly Babies, Dolly Mixtures, Wine Gums. Did think about Chocolate Eggs and skittles but they may be a bit hard. As for the container I was thinking plastic little money boxes so once the sweets have been eaten they can still be used. I have come across some some where so will have to find them then I'll post a piccy here.

I haven't as of yet decided on a place to get my favour confectionery but have plenty of time and I know Ebay yet again has good deals.

Ok so been relooking at favours and decided on using organza draw string bags, there are lots to choose from at fantastic prices on EBay and come in packs of 50 or 100. Its just a matter of choosing a colour bag that doesn't clash with the table clothes. So I was thinking of either a turquoise or white. Some come with various patterns on like stars and hearts so that is another thing to think about.

As for the confectionary I was thinking along the lines of either silver sugared Almonds or Silver Heart Chocolate Dragees.

Ok I'm not sure for definant that I will need a seating plan but have been looking into some any way. I love the idea of the third one from the bottom with the sequins in the middle like a shaker. I love the writing on the one at the bottom. And I kind of like the layout and the blue of the second one. Not so sure about the bow though. And I like the idea of butterflys on too like in the third one. So now with the thinking cap and how to entwine but still look good and not cluttered. Also think the title at the top I would use my monogram.

So I have been on a search for Pocketfolder invites hoping to make my own, but not haveing much joy. The pocketsfolders only seem available in the US and most of the places don't ship to the Uk. Also I'm beginning to find for the bits I'd need they are going to get very expensive. Making my own invites are still on the agender but have been coming across invites I like that I may be able to adapt.

We both love the heart card below, but I like the idea of using my monogram some how. I like the writting layout of the card with the ribbon at the top. And we like the pocket butterfly card too. The Calla Lilly card would be nice in a blue ribbon down the side and would go with our theme as would the butterfly pocket card.

What ever we decide we need to enclose map, R.S.V.P and envelope along with the invite. Oh and also on the R.S.V.P we need to include some way of asking if they need a room to stay over.

They are called Magic Vases, they are made in plastic and when filled with water expand so you can put your flowers in. Our Magic Vases are unbreakable, sturdy and easy to store away.

I'm thinking looking at plastic vases would be better not only cheaper but the fact we we will have children at the wedding and accidents can happen the last thing we want is broken glass.

I have just joined another forum recommend by my friend Helen http://www.weddingannouncer.com and come across a thread of interest about home made invites and found this one below made by RobEVOLoriSTi. I think its gorgous and is pretty much my colours lol.

"Materials... Well I did the printing and cutting myself because I have a laser color printer at home and a paper cutter but I looked into kinkos and they were my 2nd choice. I got the 6 1/2 x 6 1/2 square pearl white envelopes from paper and More!$16.99 for 50 of them. The blue paper I bought locally for cheap they are both astrobright. I got 24lb lunar blue and black and heavier celestial blue. Ribbon from jkmribbonandtrim.com 100 yards for $15.16I would have bought everything from one place to make it easier but of course the colors I picked made it difficult. Paper presentation was the only one to carry the 4bar envelopes in the lunar blue color that I really wanted. I bargined shopped and did okay. Paper mill has good prices but huge quantities so thats why I bought the other thinner paper locally. I didn't need 500 sheets of blue paper lol "

Invitations - I decided to put a post up on Ukscrappers forum and I got a pm from a lady called Jo, a demonstrator from stampin up, with her suggestion and shes kindly said she'd do some prototypes for me to look at and if I like them then I can buy the bits to make the amount I need. I can't wait to see them.

Bridesmaid, Maid of Honour, pageboy out fits, I'm not sure what to do were trying to keep the costs down as low as possible but I feel the costs are actually starting to esculate. Originally the plan was to get out fits that could be worn again to other special occasions that way it's not a total waste of money. I had found this really nice white dress with little embroiderd navey flowers on and a nice knitted cardigan that just come below the bust from Baby Gap, but I'm not sure what size my bridesmaide will need as it's a yr till the wedding. And for the boys I had found a nice set which was smart jeans, smart t-shirt and a knitted kinda pull over from woolworths. Thought haveing all three boys dressed the same would look so cute. Was just looking for a picture and came across they have Page Boy Tailcoat Set and Pinstripe Page Boy Suit for 20.00 pounds, so that is an idea. They don't seem to have the jeans set I was thinking about any more. Or the Dress and cardigan either.

Think waiting till closer to the day best option, but will keep my eyes open for ideas. have also found some nice patterns so could make the skirts myself so that's an option.

To be honest I'm useless when it comes to flowers and what types come out at what time of the year and names. But one I do know and love and that is Calla Lillis and I'm thinking of going with Silk ones. I found a Seller on Ebay Shop Tie The Knot Flowers by a seller called Bloomingperfect. Below are pictures she sent me and I'm definantly loveing.

From Top left I'm thinking of have this Botton hole for the dads, ushers, and possibly the boys too. The Wand for my sister in laws daughter who I'm hoping to be my bridesmaid. There's another Wand in the pic below either side a bouquet she could hold. But I think I like this top one better. Then theres a Teddy which I'm thinking my youngest Connor can hold. I don't want him to feel left out he will only be coming up two yrs old at the time of our wedding so he will probably stay with a member of the family, where as my other two boys will be 3 and coming up 6.

Next is The Maid of Honour Wand which I'm hoping will be my Best Friend Heather. Then the Button Hole for my Groom Dave as he needs to stand out from the rest of the blokes lol.

Last picture is the Bouquet on its own and all though there was another I really liked, Me and Dave had a chat and decided on this one overall.

All the ribbon on the above flowers will be blues and silvers hopefully to go with my colour scheme. Also Shes able to make a garland and top table decoration so going to get measurements and see what else we need as well as decide on Corsages for the women of the family. The balcony and stair rails will need a bit of decoration too so thinking a Garland for balcony, not sure as of yet for the stair rail.

Favours - I know are not a necessity and will only been done if we have some money left from our budget.

Originally I want to make the little box you can see in the picture with almonds in with either blue metallic stuff inside or paper shredding like in pictures – instructions here - www.weddingdelight.co.uk Love the hexagon box favour boxes which you make your self. There is a list of bits you need and instructions. Code Box3C you can buy the bits on site. Total based on 58 guests = £35.23
for inside the favour boxes either -
Light Blue shredded tissue paper 25g approx at 99p or Pearl Light Blue deluxe iridescent polypropylene shreds 25g approx £1.99 need to look in to how many bags id have to buy.

If we don’t go for the Favour boxes we could use Organza bags which are really cheap on EBay. And would also be quick and easy to do and still be nice.

Idea for Table Centre Piece - Cylinder vase with a single Silk Calla Lillie in with some silver sparkle twisted twig. At the bottom of the vase use some Mystic Crystals which you add water too to add a crystal effect. Maybe add a little blue food die to give a hint of colour and around the vase tie a blue or silver ribbon round in a bow. As of yet I haven't done a prototype as I need to find the bits and get them in. I'm hoping I will be able to find a cheap pack of cylinda vases.

Below is a picture I found to give an idea of how I wanted them to look.
I spoke to a member of Staff at The Coppleridge Inn, to see if I could have these colours and what table Layout would be best and he said he feels a horse shoe layout would work best for the amount of guests we have, then the head table at the top and he can't see a problem with haveing a white banquet cloth over them, then blue square table cloths set diagonally like a diamond on the table so the white still shows.

Got to speak with a collegue of his to double check my plan is ok and also get measurement for tables, stair rail and balcony rail so I an sort decorations out.

Along with this I'm thinking white napkins similar like picture. With my centre piece in the middle, name cards at each seat and some silver heart sequins scattered. Loving heart table confetti from wedding delights you get 14g bags for £1.25 so I’d need approx 4 bags totalling to £5

Cake - I found this Cake topper on EBay - Seller Rushmer30 and I think it looks great costs 25.00 pounds buy it now and 2.95 P&P, I haven't yet got it as I want to sort out the cake first and check it will work. We have decided on a 3 layer cake like in the pic. Fruit layer at the bottom and 2 sponge layers. White Icing and silver ribbon round the layers.

My parents have a friend who makes cakes for weddings and things so going to see if she can make the cake.

Had to laugh the other night. Me and Dave were discussing cakes and looking at the websites for ideas etc and getting ideas on pricing and Dave came out he'd have a go at makeing the cake. he said do a prototype and if I and the family like it then he'd do it lol.

will have to see what happens with that. I'll keep you posted.

Dresses - from the first time I started looking at wedding dresses I have loved this dress by a designer called Bonny. This Dress is Style 449. I love the bodice mainly and the colour. I have yet to try it on but have found a shop called The Clothes Horse in Bath that can order it in so I can have a try on. But I have a feeling its going to cost a bit more than my budget will allow.

This second dress is one I found on EBay which is custom made and I can change the red to a royal blue which is cool ( see pic below thats the type of blue I'm thinking). But have heard a few horror storys which is makeing me have second thoughts. I love the back to this dress.
There are so many similar styles too on EBay they are lush and are made in china by various sellers at the fraction of the cost to here which is the tempting side.

I'm not sure yet as of what to do, though I did have one idea and that was to entwine the two above dresses the bodice of the first and the back of the second but in royal blue. Not sure how i would do it and of course the embroidery wouldnt be the same. I did find a pattern that I'm sure could be used to create my idea. But then I think this method would become quite expensive.

So for now I'm going to carry on browsing, see if I can get to that shop The Clothes Horse in Bath to try the Bonny Dress on and see if it suits me. Just got to wait for a day when my mum is free.

Tiara - I found a Tiara on Ebay Seller Jackylumlum also which I think would go wonderful with either of the dresses above but I'm not getting it till I know for deffinant which or What dress I'm getting.

It's 2.99 with 5.99 p&p which is cool.
